Jiafan is a half-dry wine. Compared with the ratio of raw materials in the production of Yuanhong wine, there is more rice in it. Since the density of the fermented grain sand the alcoholic content of the final product are both very high, the wine is quite heavy, and is generally called as thick as meat". The amber-colored liquid is clear,transparent, thick and sweet. The alcoholic content of the wine aging from one year to three years is no less than 15.5% Vol, while that of the wine aging from three to five years is no less than 15.0% Vol, and that of the wine which is more than five years is no less than 14.0% Vol. The total sugar content is 15.1~40.0 g/L, and total acid content is 4.5~7.5 g/L. This wine is the category that enjoys the largest output, export volume and consumption volume. It has found favor with drinkers from home and abroad.
